China Guohe No. 1 Nuclear Power Unit Turbine Bypass Control Valve passed the appraisal

On March 11-12, the China General Machinery Industry Association held a product appraisal meeting for the "Guohe No. 1 Nuclear Power Unit Turbine Bypass Control Valve" jointly developed by Chongqing Chuanyi Control Valve Co., Ltd., Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Co., Ltd., Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. and other units at Chongqing Chuanyi Control Valve Co., Ltd. The appraisal meeting was hosted by Huang Li, President of the China General Machinery Industry Association.

Sui Yongbin, former chief engineer of the China Machinery Industry Federation, serves as the leader of the expert group of the appraisal committee. The expert group is composed of experts from the China Machinery Federation, China National Nuclear Power Planning Institute, Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Institute, Northwest Electric Power Design Institute, CGN Operation Co., Ltd., China Nuclear Power Engineering Corporation System Institute, Lanzhou University of Technology Pump and Valve Center, Zhejiang University, China National Nuclear Energy and other units.

Experts and representatives of the appraisal committee listened to the summary report of the research and development work, inspected the production test site of the R&D unit, and the expert representatives witnessed some product tests and reviewed relevant documents and materials. The expert group proposed that the main innovations and technical features of the "Guohe No. 1 Nuclear Power Unit Turbine Bypass Control Valve" product are as follows:

A multi-stage sleeve-type high-pressure differential valve trim design method based on stepped pressure drop was proposed to achieve high-precision control of small valve openings; a new ball-head type pilot valve core structure was designed to achieve pressure balance under high-pressure conditions and improve the valve's movement stability and sealing; a heat treatment process to improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of the material was developed, the valve trim structure was optimized, and the risk of valve jamming under high-temperature conditions was reduced; a full-flow steam test bench that meets actual conditions was built, filling the gap in domestic high-parameter, large-capacity steam control valve test benches.

The appraisal committee believes that the "Guohe No. 1 Nuclear Power Unit Turbine Bypass Control Valve" product developed has independent intellectual property rights, has been applied in the "Guohe No. 1" demonstration project for the first set, and is running well. The main performance indicators have reached the international advanced level, and it is recommended to promote its application.
