A new technology docking platform was launched in LuoYang, and the problems of the bearing industry received support from the "think tank".

Recently, a roadshow and results release event focusing on the key technical needs of the bearing industry was held in Longmen Laboratory. The event was organized by the laboratory and aims to build a communication bridge between enterprises and scientific research institutions, promote technical research and results transformation, and help the local high-end bearing industry achieve high-quality development.

Five key technical needs, including "Research on bearing design and batch manufacturing technology for high-speed and low-noise CT equipment", were released at the event. These needs cover the actual challenges currently faced by enterprises in material processing, equipment performance optimization, and manufacturing precision improvement. Relevant expert teams from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Tianjin University, Henan University of Science and Technology and Longmen Laboratory responded to the questions on the spot and proposed preliminary solutions based on their own research results.

As an important part of Luoyang scientific and technological innovation system, Longmen Laboratory is actively playing the role of a public R&D platform and carrying out collaborative research around the key bottlenecks in the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. By establishing a normalized technology demand docking mechanism, the laboratory has effectively broken through the information barriers between enterprises and scientific research resources, and promoted the formation of an innovative ecology with deep integration of industry, academia and research.

Representatives of local backbone enterprises such as LYC Bearing Group, ZYS, and Xinneng Bearing who participated in this event have raised specific technical difficulties. For example, in the cold rolling process, although the utilization rate of raw materials has been significantly improved, the operating stability of domestic equipment still needs to be improved; although the wind turbine main shaft bearing has a good prospect for localization, there are still technical shortcomings in the soft belt quenching process; the overall accuracy of the grinding machine equipment has been significantly improved, but the vibration suppression ability still needs to be further optimized.

In this regard, relevant universities and scientific research institutions have demonstrated a number of cutting-edge research results such as "Ultra-high Carbon Bearing Steel Material Development and Application", and have carried out exchanges and discussions from multiple dimensions such as theoretical analysis and engineering practice to provide new ideas and technical paths for solving practical problems.

The relevant person in charge of Longmen Laboratory said that since last year, the laboratory has established a working mechanism of "monthly roadshow + special follow-up", serving more than 20 companies in total, and promoting multiple projects to enter the substantive cooperation stage. In the next step, it will continue to deepen the "one-to-one" tracking service model, provide full-process support for the transformation of technological achievements, and continue to empower the development of LuoYang modern manufacturing industry.
