China First Long-Distance Pure Hydrogen Transmission Pipeline Passes Safety Review

Recently, the "Safety Demonstration of the Inner Mongolia Ulanqab to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Hydrogen Transmission Pipeline Demonstration Project," completed by Shijiazhuang Petroleum Engineering Design Co., Ltd., successfully passed the comprehensive review organized by Xinxing Company. This marks a key breakthrough in the safety design of my country's first large-scale, long-distance, inter-provincial pure hydrogen transmission pipeline.

The project is approximately 1,132 kilometers long, with a design pressure of 6.3 MPa. The first phase has a hydrogen transmission capacity of 100,000 tons/year, with a long-term plan to increase it to 500,000 tons/year. After completion, the pipeline will stably supply green hydrogen to key areas and enterprises such as Xiong'an New Area, Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical, Tianjin Petrochemical, and Yanshan Petrochemical.

The petroleum engineering design company conducted multi-field thematic research focusing on the project's safety requirements. Through repeated experiments and verification, it optimized technical solutions, overcoming key technical challenges such as hydrogen-induced damage prevention and pressure stability control in long-distance pure hydrogen transmission. Simultaneously, it constructed a full-process safety assessment system, comprehensively investigating and quantitatively analyzing potential risks at each stage of the project, resulting in a complete technical solution covering risk prevention and emergency response. The system's achievements establish a multi-layered security protection system, ensuring the comprehensiveness and scientific rigor of the security assessment content.
