PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada has relaunched its Becoming a Certified Asset Management Assessor course following curriculum updates to align with recent revisions of knowledge and standards by leading global maintenance and asset management organizations. Developed by PEMAC, the course has been officially recognized by the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) as preparation for the CAMA2 exam. The course is ideal for senior and mid-career professionals, from any sector, who wish to refresh and increase their asset management knowledge and preparing to write the Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA2) Exam to achieve CAMA2 Certification. The certification demonstrates a professional’s understanding of asset management systems, and the ability to identify gaps that an organization may have against the ISO standards. Successful completion of the CAMA2 Exam meets the knowledge component of the WPiAM CAMA Certification, which also consists of a competency component, achieved through successful demonstration of a minimum five years work experience in asset management. Recognized globally, CAMA Certification establishes an individual’s credentials in asset management knowledge and comprehension. The Becoming a Certified Asset Management Assessor Course revision reflects updates to the Global Forum on Maintenance Asset Management (GFMAM) Asset Management Landscape version 3, the ISO 55000x:2024 standards, as well as the IAM Anatomy version 4 documents. These resources provide direction and best practices to help organizations enhance efficiency, minimize risk, and strengthen their asset management processes. The course updates highlight the significance of context and stakeholder involvement, value realization through knowledge management, and the role of organizational change management. “Since the launch of the CAMA exam ten years ago during PEMAC’s annual conference, PEMAC is proud to have supported the growth of this important global recognition,” shares Nicolle Guillen, PEMAC, Professional Development and Education Manager. “The development of the Becoming a Certified Asset Management Assessor Course, soon after, provides professionals with the latest asset management knowledge and builds confidence to write the CAMA2 exam.” The course is available online on-demand through Northern Lakes College via NLC Anytime, Anywhere, providing the ultimate in flexibility. Course participants may begin the course anytime, and work through the fourteen hours of recorded lessons and activities at their own pace, with full access to the online classroom for up to three months and supported by an instructor throughout their learning journey. “Northern Lakes College is proud to partner with PEMAC to ensure Becoming a Certified Asset Management Assessor is accessible to practitioners from around the world.
