Kaydon President, CEO to Retire May 1 Kaydon Corp., which makes ball bearings amd industrial shock absorbers, said Tuesday Brian P. Campbell plans to retire as chairman, president and CEO on May 1, and won't stand for re-election as a director at the company's May 17 annual shareholders meeting. Kaydon's board expects to complete its CEO search by March 31. "Despite my decision to retire from Kaydon, I am dedicated to ensuring that this transition is executed as flawlessly as possible," Campbell said in a statement. "With my departure from the company in mind, I have worked extensively with the board to develop a sensible strategy to transition the executive leadership. I look forward to continuing to work with the board to ensure that we bring on the right executive who has the vision and skills to lead this performance-oriented organization in its next stage of growth and shareholder performance."
