JGBR Complete Construction of New Site Jiangsu General Ball & Roller Co.,Ltd (JGBR) completed their new site recently. The construction lasted less than a year. Present at the open ceremony were government officials from Nantong and Rugao city, including Lang shaomin, Chen huijuan, Shi yao, Li zhonglin, Pan jianhua, Huang cheng, Chen huiyu, Yu yongfang, Zhang jianping. The present officials jointly cut the rippon for the new site. JGBR is formed by American General Bearing Co.,Ltd and Jiangsu Lixing Steel Ball Co.,Ltd. After 7 years’development, the company has developed into a domestic flagship in bearing industry, well known ball maker in the world. Following the policy of moving manufacturing enterprises into suburb and requirement for modern corporation, JGBR practiced their integration plan, purchasing 450mu (about 300,000 m2) land in the suburb of Rugao to build new site. According to the plan, the company separated the construction into severy phases. The first phase construction covering 268mu (178,500 m2) was started in February 2006. The annual capacity of balls in the site will hit 2.8 billion and expand to 5 billion in 2010, laying a foundation for their goal to enter world top 3. On the ceremony, Seymour Gussack, chairman of General Bearing Corporation, gave a speech. He said that Rugao is an efficiency city and he was confident of the cooperation with enterprise in this city. Besides, General Bearing signed an other agreement with Jiangsu Lixing Steel Ball to increase investment by USD4 million. Recently, GKN, the world leading transmission shaft maker, signed a 2 million dollars’ worth of sales contract with JGBR.
