First Half Net Profit Report of Shanghai Prime Shanghai Prime Machinery Company Co., Ltd., （Shanghai Prime）announced that its net profits for the first half of 2007 were ￥102million, down 31% year-on year. Excluding the influences of special benefits at the same period of the previous year, the profits were nearly at the same level. The export sales of Shanghai Prime for the first half were ￥712 million，up 22%. Now the oversea sales take up 44% of the total sales. Export is expected to expand to over 50%. The company will spend about ￥570million investing its subsidiary bussiness--- lamina, cutting tools, bearings and fasteners. The vice manager Chen Hui said: “Due to of export tax rebate, its export tax rebate fasteners and cutting tools bussiness from 13% to 5%, but for bearing bussiness, it remained 13%.” He also pointed that export would continue to increase and the company would also think about acquiring in the future, for the company actively explored oversea markets to export various products with competitive price.
