JBIA Organized Enterprises to Review the Emerging Bearing Industry in Xuyi County
In October 10, 2009, the Bearing Industry Association of Jiangsu Province (JBIA) organized 30 senior executives from key enterprises to review the status of the bearing industry in Xuyi County, having an exchange on issues of industry development, investment intention and other fields.
In recent years, the Xuyi County government and CPC committee issued a series of preferential policies to support the development of bearing industry and related infrastructure. Thanks to constant development, the Bearing Industrial Park has attracted nearly 100 enterprises that provide supporting manufacturing and services for bearing industry; among which 31 enterprises are large-scale ones; an industrial belt with a complete upstream and downstream supporting service has been formed. The cluster and scale effects are becoming more apparent in bearing industry which has become one of the polar industries in the county.
During the process of review, senior executives are deeply impressed by the fast development of the bearing industry in Xuyi County. Through the experiences of enterprises that have made investments there, visitors marveled at the local investment environment and the efficiency of local governmental departments. Some executives have shown their investment intentions in consideration of the long-term development of their own enterprises.
During the visit, Su Zemin, former Deputy Director-general of Office of Machinery Industry of Jiangsu Province and incumbent council chairperson of Jiangsu Bearing Industry Association, pointed out: Xuyi County Committee and Government take bearing industry as the leading industry in its economic development by actively promoting the bearing industry’s development. The organization of enterprises’ visit is an implementation of the guiding strategy of coordinating the development of North and South Jiangsu Province; it is also a bridging activity that connects the bearing industry in Xuyi County with other bearing enterprises in Jiangsu Province. Meanwhile, Mr. Su called for enhancing the environmental protection efforts while development the bearing industry.
