A New 80-million Project Invested by SBI Bearing Started in Luoyang City

As one of the second projects of the Dynamic Valley in Luoyang, SBI Bearing invests RMB 80 million into a project with an annual capacity of 20,000 sets of specialized bearings. The project is now under construction in the Luoyang Industrial Park.
“Crisis is only temporary. It is the darkness before the dawn. We must be a forerunner in economic recovery.” Wang Di, General Manager of SBI Bearing is ready to lead the industry out of the recession and embrace the challenges.
The biggest non-standard bearing produced by SBI Bearing is 6-meter in diameter. One set of such large-scale bearing costs several million RMB. The new product substitute like products imported from abroad, widely applied in large-scale precision radar, numerical control machine, barbette on warship and offshore work platform. Half of the products are exported. As Wang Di puts it, “Half revenue is U.S. dollar and the other half is RMB.”
In 2006, this private enterprise was still at a burgeoning stage with a total production value of only RMB 3 million, regardless of its 20-year history and possession of many patents and technologies.
It only takes 3 years for the company to achieve an annual output of nearly RMB 600 million. Constantly incoming orders overwhelm the enterprise production capacity. The major clients include many Fortune 500 enterprises, like ABB of the U.S, IHI of Japan and Kalmar of Finland etc.
In September 28, a bearing manufacturing project with an annual output of 20,000 sets was put into construction in Luoyang Industrial Park. The project is jointly invested by SBI Bearing and an enterprise based in Shanghai.
This year, SBI was listed as National High-Tech Enterprise. At present, the company holds 12 national patents among which two are patents of invention. Another four patents are now in application process.
