Shanghai Electric Group and SKF China Reached a Strategic Partnership

Recently, Shanghai Electric Group and SKF China reached a strategic partnership, president of Shanghai Electric Huang Dinan attended the signing ceremony.
Since Shanghai Electric Group has entered into the international capital market in 2005, it developed EPC project to promote the international market. At the same time, its major industries basically supported by the joint ventures. Such as, electric power with Siemens, power transmission & distribution with Siemens,ABB and AREVA, elevator with Mitsubishi, nuclear power with KSB, rail transportation with Alstom, etc. The strategic cooperation between Shanghai Electric Group and SKF China is the international demand for Shanghai Electric Group and also the demand for further innovative supplying chain.
President Huang Dinan expressed his feelings about this cooperation on the ceremony.
Firstly, persisted the organizational promotion and market operation. Shanghai Electric International Economic & Trade Co., Ltd. as a procurement platform, together with SKF to design the practical program which is on the basis of the market operation and according to the economic rules.
Secondly, selected the qualified enterprises to test first, then gradually spread.
Thirdly, enhanced cooperation. We hope all the participants united to communicate, discuss, understand, and support together.
In the latest years, Shanghai Electric Group made a series of innovations in the management of supplying chain. The group promoted centralized online purchasing in 2005, the total purchasing reached 22 billion yuan in last year. From this year, the group made more focus on the casting & standard parts centralized online purchasing. The cooperation with SKF is also one of the part in innovative supplying chain management, which could standard the procurement practices, unify the procurement actions in Shanghai Electric Group; meanwhile the selling expenses in SKF could also decreasd.
This cooperation is the specific performance of actively praticing " going out" strategy in Shanghai Electric Group, on the other hand, it is also the strategic arrangement of participating in the global competition under the new economic pattern. In addition, it will become the positive example to expand overseas market in China equipment manufacturing industry.
