Recently, Baosteel formulated GB/T 28905-2012 National Standard of Low Yield Strength Steel Plate for Construction Application is awarded Shanghai Standardization Outstanding Achievement Award First Prize. The standard caters to the needs of construction industry, effectively enhance the structural safety of building, fill the blank of relevant national standard, while promote the development of China's construction industry and steel industry. When drawing up the standard, based on customer demand, relevant R&D achievements, engineering application status and characteristics of low yield strength steel plate for building aseismicity，referring to the product manual from both domestic and overseas steel works, in the principle of Status quo Reflection, Appropriate Lead and Rational Integration, Baosteel has set up the steel grade and technical figure requirements of the standard. This standard tells the fruitful achievements of Baosteel's advanced manufacturing technology in low yield strength steel plate for construction application, which will guide and regulate production, research and sales of low yield strength steel plate for construction application in China. In addition, other 3 standards from Baosight are awarded Standardization Outstanding Academic Achievement 2nd Prize and Standardization Outstanding Technology Achievements 3rd Prize.
