CCTY Bearing expands globally while maintaining Lake Zurich base

CCTY is a full-service engineering consulting partner and top tier bearing company which manufactures in China with warehouses and offices in Japan, Europe and the United States, where its North American headquarters are located in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
The manufacturer of high performance bearings and custom product development has called Lake Zurich home ever since it relocated from Mundelein a year and a half ago. "We were committed to stay in northwest suburbs of Chicago," says Evan Poulakidas, Director of the company's North American division. "Lake Zurich has one of the nicest industrial parks in Illinois so when the property at 1111 Rose Road became available, we purchased it."
In addition to its office space in Lake Zurich, which Poulakidas says, "is a wonderful place to plant your company," CCTY is expanding in the far east by exchanging its current 450,000 square feet plant for a 780,000 square feet facility on a 10-story office complex just five miles away in Zhenjiang, China. "The new facility will quadruple our capacity and be one of the premier bearing plants in the world," projects Poulakidas, who credits the company's increase in sales to a number of factors.
"First and foremost, our people are dedicated to serving our customers and finding good solutions to our customer needs," explains Poulakidas. "CCTY evolved into a company that not only supplies bearings but mating parts and complete assemblies."
In fact, in many cases CCTY is brought in on the design phase and, with the partnerships it has created, are entrusted to come up with the finish designs and solutions for its customers' products.
"We are always looking for new products to produce so we encourage our customers and potential customers to bring new ideas to the table," adds Poulakidas. "We are never afraid to take on our customers' most serious applications."
CCTY is equally unafraid to take on its own company goals. As Poulakidas notes, "Our core belief is to be a top five producer on all our core products. This is a difficult goal but we have reached it on a number of products already so we plan on succeeding with the others as we grow our business and expand around the world."
