Taicang Port Area to become the world's largest oil production base

BP (China) Industrial Oils Limited is planning a major investment in its wholly-owned lubricant blending plant in Taicang, to double the capacity of the existing one. In addition to BP, Exxon Mobil lubricants and China National Petroleum Corp., two global top 500 enterprises, have also launched projects in Taicang Port Area. The total investment of the above mentioned three companies in seven projects within this area is more than 2.6 billion yuan, with an anticipated annual production capacity of 1.06 million tons, which will make Taicang Port Area the world's largest oil production base once all in production.
