Baowu Steel Group Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Merchants Group

On 27th May, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Baowu Group and China Merchants Group was held in Baowu Building. The two sides will take their advantages in strategic cooperation in logistics transportation, community and park development, finance and innovation business. Bao Wu Group Party Secretary, Chairman Ma Guoqiang and China Merchants Group Chairman, Party Secretary Li Jianhong attended the signing ceremony and witnessed the signing. General manager of Bao Wu Group, Chen Derong and general manager of China Merchants Group, Li Xiaopeng as respective representatives signed the agreement.
Baowu Group and China Merchants Group have a good relationship of cooperation. Basicly, they have a good foundation of coorperation in many fields, such as integrated logistics, industrial manufacturing and services, trade in steel products, financial services, and other area. In 2016, Baowu Group and China Merchants Group at the same time become pilot projects under state-owned capital investment operation, which provided opportunities for each company. In the future, the two sides will work together on capital and joint projects to promote specific projects. Taking their respective advantages to achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, build mutually beneficial and sustainable development of strategic cooperative partnership.
At the signing ceremony, Li Jianhong pointed out that the Baowu Group is a large customer for China Merchants Group, and both sides coorperated in the shipping, port, logistics and other fields for a long time. In the future, in "One Belt, One Road" and developiong Yangtze River economic zone and other development strategy, the two sides would get more coorperation opportunities on shipping, finance, urban services and other areas. He said that China Merchants Group attaches great importance to the cooperation with the Baowu Group, hoping they would increase, speed up and expand the scope of cooperation.
