China Agricultural Machinery Institute in the "fourth China Agricultural Robot Innovation Competition" happy achievement

Recently, the 2024 World Robot Conference Agricultural Robot Special Forum and Digital and Agricultural Industry High-quality Development Forum was held in Beijing. At the award ceremony of the fourth China Agricultural Robot Innovation Competition held in the same period, the "variable wheel base omnidirectional mobile crop information acquisition robot" developed by the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology Application of the China Agricultural Machinery Academy (hereinafter referred to as the "Mechanical and Electrical Institute") won the second prize.

The variable wheelbase omnidirectional mobile crop information acquisition robot is suitable for typical agricultural application scenarios such as crop phenotypic information acquisition, mobile agricultural four-condition monitoring and high-precision field map construction. The system integrates all-weather variable wheel base omnidirectional line control chassis, multi-mode walking control system, high-throughput multi-source data acquisition system, real-time data communication and ground station control system, and has the functions of field autonomous path planning and navigation, efficient acquisition and transmission of multi-source information, wireless terminal data visualization and storage. Its core advantages are multidimensional information collection, high-precision data acquisition, and all-factor map construction, which provide comprehensive and reliable data support for precision agriculture management decision-making.

The 4th China Agricultural Robot Innovation Competition, sponsored by the Chinese Society for Artificial Intelligence, collects autonomous decision-making core algorithms, intelligent executive components and sensors, universal controllers and robot systems applied to robots in various agricultural scenarios such as farming, planting, breeding, management and harvesting. A total of 82 projects were collected in this competition, of which 27 projects were successfully shortlisted, and 22 projects stood out and won awards after on-site review by the expert group.
