China Jiangsu approved to build a national wind power technology innovation center
Recently, China Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Energy Administration jointly issued a notice announcing the launch of the construction of the National Wind Power Technology Innovation Center, and decided to set up three sub-centers in Jiangsu, Beijing and Zhejiang of China , and adopt a multi-party collaborative management model. This is another national-level technology innovation center approved by Jiangsu after the National Biopharmaceutical Technology, Third Generation Semiconductor Technology and Integrated Circuit Design Automation Technology Center.
The Jiangsu Sub-center of the National Wind Power Technology Innovation Center in Yancheng will focus on the research of marine wind power technology. The center will be committed to building a series of experimental facilities, including an experimental platform for testing the main transmission system of wind turbines above 20 megawatts, a transmission experimental platform for 25 megawatt-level yaw and pitch systems, equipment capable of testing flexible blades up to 150 meters long, and a demonstration wind farm with an installed capacity of 1.5 million kilowatts.
In addition, a research institute focusing on new materials and key components for wind power generation will be established to study and develop new electromagnetic materials, large wind turbine bearings, autonomous and controllable wind turbine PLC control systems, recyclable and reusable blade materials, and modular technology for ultra-long blades. This series of measures aims to break through the core technologies of wind power generation and key components, develop core components such as wind turbine main bearings and PLC control systems, and ultimately build a global innovation center for offshore wind power technology.
