ZWZ R&D and Application of Hub-Drive Planetary Transmission Bearings for Large Mining Trucks Wheel Systems Wins Second-Level National Award
Recently, the list of winning projects of the Liaoning Division of the "Spark" Innovation and Creativity Competition for State-owned Enterprises in the "Three Provinces and One Region" in Northeast China was announced. Two projects of ZWZ Group were among them. The "R&D and Application of Bearings for Hub Driven Planetary Transmission Devices of Large Mining Trucks" project won the second prize, and the "R&D and Manufacturing of Suspension Bearings for Passenger Vehicle Shock Absorption System" project won the Excellence Award.
Large mining trucks are the main equipment for coal mine transportation. The bearings in the wheel hub are core components. Currently, imported tapered roller bearings are mainly used. Foreign bearings are expensive and the delivery time cannot be guaranteed, so localization is imminent. ZWZ organized engineering and technical personnel to carry out multi-dimensional long-life design and quality control technology research and development for bearings of hub drive planetary transmission devices of large mining trucks. Using simulation technology and lubrication gradient vulcanization layer control technology of low friction coefficient bearings, it solved the impact of clearance and insufficient lubrication on the life of bearings after operation, and developed micro-deformation control technology for heat treatment of thin-walled bearings to solve the problem of premature fatigue in weak positions of bearings. The hub drive planetary transmission device bearings of large mining trucks developed by ZWZ meet the various needs of customers and successfully replace imports.
