On June 10, 2025, the China Standard Metro Bearing Technology Seminar was successfully held at Luoyang LYC Bearing Group. The meeting focused on the technical research, application promotion and localization path of bearings, the core components of rail transit, and summarized and evaluated the actual performance of 250,000 kilometers of domestic bearings installed in Luoyang Metro.

The purpose of this meeting is to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry during his inspection in Henan. Many representatives from the government, industry associations, scientific research institutions and upstream and downstream of the rail transit industry chain gathered together. Mayor Zhang Yujie, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology Sun Yongmin, Deputy Director of the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission Li Haifeng and other leaders attended the meeting. Guo Jie, Executive Deputy Director of the Technical Equipment Committee of the China Urban Rail Transit Association, and Zhou Yu, Chairman of the China Bearing Industry Association, and other industry experts also participated in the discussion.

As a key basic component, bearings are known as "industrial joints" and are particularly critical in the field of rail transit. The bearings used in the vehicle travel system must have extremely high stability, durability and safety, and in the past they mainly relied on imported products. In recent years, as the country has continuously increased its attention to the independent control of high-end manufacturing core technologies, Luoyang Bearing Group has actively responded to the national strategic deployment, focused on the research and development of high-performance bearings, continued to increase investment in science and technology, broke through a number of key technical bottlenecks, and gradually realized the transformation from "following" to "running side by side".

As early as 2022, the trains of Luoyang Metro Line 2 were officially put into operation for the first time with the axle box bearings independently developed by Luoyang Bearing. So far, this batch of bearings has accumulated more than 250,000 kilometers of stable operation, and various performance indicators are good, providing strong support for subsequent promotion and application.

At the meeting, Luoyang Bearing Group comprehensively introduced its research and development results and practical application cases in the field of subway bearings. Luoyang Transportation Investment Group and Zhengzhou Transportation Development Group shared feedback on the use of domestic bearings in subway vehicles. Representatives of CRRC Changchun, Zhuzhou, Tangshan bases, Shentong Alstom (Shanghai) Company and CRRC Luoyang Company also expressed their views on the current technical trends, application scenarios, quality improvement and other aspects of rail transit bearings, and put forward many constructive suggestions.

In order to further promote the implementation of localization, Luoyang Bearing Group also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhengzhou Jiaofa Group and Luoyang Jiaotou Group on site. The three parties will jointly establish a rail transit bearing collaborative development platform, carry out in-depth cooperation in multiple links such as product research and development, testing and verification, maintenance and remanufacturing, and jointly create a safe, efficient and sustainable domestic bearing supply chain system.

This meeting is not only an opportunity for industry exchanges, but also injects new momentum into the localization process of core components of my country's rail transit. In the future, with the transformation and implementation of more independent innovation results, domestic high-end bearings are expected to play an important role in a wider market and help my country's equipment manufacturing move to a higher level.
