Unveiling! The King of Steel Links High-end Manufacturing

On the 16th, an in-depth dialogue focusing on "steel" and "shaft" was held in the factory area of LYC in Henan Province. The exchange day between Daye Special Steel and LYC (hereinafter referred to as "LYC") and the unveiling ceremony of the joint laboratory were held here.

From technological breakthroughs to industrial chain collaboration, the two leading companies in the fields of "bearing steel materials" and "bearing manufacturing" respectively, have injected new impetus into the "Chinese core" of high-end equipment manufacturing through strategic dialogue.

Bearing steel, known as the "King of Steel," is the core material for high-end bearings. Its purity and uniformity directly determine bearing performance and lifespan. Once upon a time, high-end bearing steel products were monopolized by developed countries, leaving my country's high-end equipment manufacturing in key sectors at the mercy of others. In recent years, Daye Special Steel has gradually broken this monopoly: from steel used in the main bearings of the world's largest 18-meter-diameter tunnel boring machine to steel used in the main shaft bearings of the world's largest 25MW wind turbine; from steel used in axlebox bearings for 350 km/h high-speed trains to aviation bearing steel certified by international giants such as Pratt & Whitney and Safran... By aiming for "ultra-purity and ultra-uniformity" and mastering key core process technologies, Daye Special Steel has enabled the "King of Steel" to achieve a leap from "following" to "leading."

As the "backbone of China's bearing industry," LYC shoulders the mission of "supporting the backbone of the national bearing industry." From the "two bombs, one satellite" program to the "Fuxing" high-speed rail, and from domestically produced large aircraft to deep-sea oil and gas equipment, its products cover key areas of high-end equipment. On May 19th of this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping personally visited LUB, entrusting it with the important mission of "serving national strategies."

During the exchange, Wang Xinying, Party Secretary and Chairman of LYC, and Liu Wenxue, Party Secretary and General Manager of Daye Special Steel, expressed their commitment to "industrial chain collaboration." "Daye Special Steel is a benchmark in Chinese bearing steel technology and provides critical support for us to overcome bottlenecks in high-end bearings." Wang Xinying stated, "We hope to use this exchange as a new starting point to deepen cooperation in R&D, production, and quality, leverage technological advancements to reduce costs, and jointly develop market-adapted steel products." Liu Wenxue responded, "We will implement '100% zero defects and 100% on-time delivery,' and collaborate deeply with LYC in areas such as special precision bearings, wind turbine bearings, shield machine bearings, and rail transit bearings to serve China's advanced manufacturing." The two parties jointly unveiled the joint laboratory.

From the forging of the "king of steel" to the rise of a "national heavyweight," the collaboration between Daye Special Steel and LYC vividly illustrates the strengthening and complementing of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry chain. When the toughness of steel and the precision of shafts are deeply integrated, the "hardcore" future of China's high-end equipment manufacturing is accelerating in this dialogue between steel and shafts.
