Shenyang Blower Group and Xi an Jiaotong University Sign Agreement to Co-establish Energy Storage Technology and Equipment Research Institute

On November 6th, Xi'an Jiaotong University and SHENGU held a signing and unveiling ceremony at the Xingqing Campus, officially establishing the "Shenyang Blower - Xi'an Jiaotong University Energy Storage Technology and Equipment Research Institute" and launching the "3500kW Multi-Stage Turbine Compressor Test System."

In his speech, President Zhang Liqun stated that Xi'an Jiaotong University has always adhered to serving major national strategies and promoting the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. Shenyang Blower, as a strategic leader in my country's equipment manufacturing industry, shoulders the mission of ensuring the independent controllability of major national equipment. The cooperation between the two sides began in the 1980s, and over the past four decades, they have achieved fruitful results in talent cultivation and technological research and development. This joint establishment of the research institute is an important measure for the university to implement a company-led industry-academia-research integration mechanism. He hoped that both sides would gather top talent to contribute even more to the high-quality development of my country's equipment manufacturing industry.

Chairman Dai Jishuang reviewed the more than forty-year history of cooperation between the two sides. He pointed out that Shenyang Blower is fully implementing its "3+N" development strategy and moving towards becoming a world-class enterprise. Through long-term cooperation with Xi'an Jiaotong University, the group has achieved numerous results in talent cultivation and technological breakthroughs, with a large number of Jiaotong University graduates becoming key figures in the company's innovation. He expressed his hope to further expand the breadth and depth of cooperation in the future, leveraging the disciplinary strength of Jiaotong University to support the group's service to national strategic needs.

Academician He Yaling stated that SHENGU has repeatedly ventured into the "deep waters" of technology, achieving breakthroughs in the localization of key equipment in fields such as nuclear energy. She expects the joint research institute to continue to be guided by national strategies and empower the independent development of major equipment through collaborative technological innovation.

During the signing ceremony, Professor Xi Guang and Chief Engineer Zhang Yong signed a project agreement for "Ultra-large Flow Coefficient, High-Performance Model-Level Development and Verification," and Secretary Cao Feng and Chief Engineer Zhang Yong signed a project agreement for "Development of Typical Carbon Dioxide Heat Pump Products for Temperature Ranges of 0℃-600℃." Zhang Liqun, Dai Jishuang, and others jointly unveiled the plaque for the research institute and experimental system.

After the ceremony, Dai Jishuang and his delegation visited the Innovation Port Digital Exhibition Hall, the Jiaotong University Westward Relocation Museum, and the Energy Science and Technology Research Institute.

This collaboration marks a new stage in the deep integration of the two parties in the field of energy storage technology and equipment, and will inject new momentum into my country's independent innovation and industrial upgrading of energy equipment.
