The Groundbreaking Ceremony of Dongjin New Area High-End High-Speed Rail Bearing Project Held

On January 3rd, the groundbreaking ceremony for the "High-Speed Rail and Rail Transit High-End Bearing R&D and Production Project" of Hubei Litong Bearing Co., Ltd. was held in Xiangyang Dongjin New Area. The launch of this major project is not only a crucial step for the company towards high-end manufacturing, but also a landmark achievement of Dongjin New Area's efforts to optimize its business environment and cultivate a modern industrial system, vividly implementing the strategic deployment of "building a strong manufacturing nation and a strong transportation nation."

This project directly addresses the industrial bottleneck of long-term reliance on imports for high-speed rail bearings with speeds of 350 km/h and above, aiming to achieve domestic substitution of key core components through independent research and development, which is of significant strategic importance for ensuring the security of the industrial and supply chains.

It is reported that the project has a total investment of approximately 350 million yuan, covering an area of 30 mu (approximately 2 hectares), with a total construction area of over 20,000 square meters. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 sets of high-end bearings, effectively meeting the needs of the domestic rail transit market. Driven by collaborative innovation between industry, academia, and research, the project deeply integrates digitalization and green manufacturing concepts, aiming to create a national-level green factory benchmark, striving to reduce energy consumption by 20% and increase production efficiency by 30%.

From blueprint to foundational construction, Litong Bearing is committed to the goal of "High-speed Rail Bearings Made in Xiangyang," rooted in Dongjin, and steadily implementing a "three-step" strategy: completing construction to high standards, building an independent and controllable supply chain system, and ultimately becoming a leading enterprise in the global high-end equipment manufacturing chain.
