The High-Temperature Resistant and Corrosion-Resistant Transmission System Bearings from LYC was Selected as Pilot Achievement in High-Performance Manufacturing Technology and Major Equipment

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently announced the list of pilot projects for the industrialization of high-tech achievements under the 2025 National Key R&D Program, including 67 pilot achievements and 108 pilot units. Luoyang, with its advanced technology and achievement transformation capabilities, had one pilot achievement and one pilot unit successfully selected.

Among them, LYC's "High-Temperature Resistant and Corrosion-Resistant Transmission System Bearings" was selected as a pilot achievement for high-performance manufacturing technology and major equipment. This research, led by LYC, was conducted in collaboration with five other institutions, including Xi'an Jiaotong University. Focusing on the stringent service requirements of helicopter transmission system bearings—high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high precision, and long service life—the project achieved systematic breakthroughs in three dimensions: core technology, manufacturing processes, and testing and verification through industry-academia-research collaboration. Currently, the related products have been applied and verified in the fields of low-altitude economic equipment and aviation equipment. In the future, they can be further expanded to key areas such as aerospace, high-end equipment manufacturing, and new energy, providing core component support for the localization of high-end equipment in my country and enhancing the self-reliance and controllability of the industrial chain and supply chain.

Longmen Laboratory was selected as the only pilot unit in the province for industrialization implementation, ranking among the 43 pilot units in this category nationwide. This marks a new breakthrough in the laboratory's integration into the national science and technology innovation strategy and provides solid support for further leveraging the laboratory's supporting and leading role in industry. Since its establishment, Longmen Laboratory has adhered to the "laboratory + industrial chain + scenario" model to build an ecosystem for the transformation of research results that adapts to the development of new-type productivity. It has continuously innovated its methods and measures, established a collaborative working mechanism, actively undertaken and promoted the transfer and transformation of national key R&D program projects and results, and effectively facilitated the transformation of a number of national key R&D program results into tangible productivity.

The pilot program for the industrialization of high-tech achievements under the National Key R&D Program aims to focus on high-tech achievements in advanced manufacturing and new materials fields, using the pilot program as a driving force to accelerate the transformation of scientific research results into large-scale production and market operation. Taking this pilot program as an opportunity, Luoyang will actively leverage various innovation resources, strengthen the connection between industrial supply and demand, and enable more high-tech achievements to move from the "laboratory" to the "production line," continuously injecting Luoyang's strength into the construction of a modern industrial system.
