Guizhou Fengda Bearing Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest companies to settle in the park. The company's head, Cen Xianli, worked in the bearing industry for many years in his early years and mastered production technology and market resources. Under the guidance and support of the local government, he chose to return to his hometown to build a factory and started his entrepreneurial journey.

The local government survey found that a large number of locals are engaged in bearing-related work in the east and have a strong technical foundation. Therefore, a number of support policies were introduced, such as free factory rent for the first three years and providing entrepreneurship subsidies, to attract talents to return.

In the early development stage, Fengda overcame difficulties such as inconvenient transportation, weak technology, and tight funds. With the assistance of the government, it gradually established a standardized production line and focused on the research and development and manufacturing of high-precision small stainless steel bearings. Today, its products have been adopted by brands such as Midea, Philips, Supor, Xiaomi, and DJI, and the market has stabilized.

With the success of Fengda, more companies and entrepreneurs have settled in Dushan. At present, an industrial cluster with micro-precision bearings as the core has been formed, covering multiple application fields such as home appliances, automobiles, and smart devices, and its products are exported to more than ten countries and regions overseas.

Technology-based construction of competitive advantages

Although the bearings are small, they have extremely high requirements for manufacturing processes. Taking Fengda as an example, its smallest product has an outer diameter of only 5 mm, a precise internal structure, and error control at the micron level. The person in charge of the company said that in order to gain a foothold in the fiercely competitive market, it is necessary to adhere to quality first and continuous innovation.

To this end, the company actively introduced advanced equipment, carried out technical training, established a special R&D team, and obtained external support through the East-West Cooperation Mechanism to continuously improve product performance and market responsiveness.

Upstream supporting enterprises such as Guizhou Yuansheng Industry have also grown synchronously, focusing on the manufacture of mid-to-high-end seals, with the ability to develop customized molds, and have developed thousands of molds in total. The current annual production capacity is 400 million pieces, and it is planning to expand to international high-end markets such as Japan and Germany.

Flexible employment model promotes employment and integrates production and education to cultivate skilled talents

The rise of the bearing industry has also provided a large number of jobs for local people, driving employment of more than 1,300 people, many of whom are left-behind women. Some companies have implemented a flexible employment system, allowing employees to complete some simple processes at home, taking into account family care and income sources.

In order to improve the skills of employees, companies generally set up pre-job training mechanisms, provide paid learning opportunities, and set up clear career advancement channels.
