China MIIT Conducts Special Inspection of RIFA Wheel Bearing Project to Advance Core Component Innovation

On June 5, 2025, Wang Hong, deputy director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, led a team to Zhejiang Rifa Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. to conduct a special field investigation on wheel hub bearing related manufacturing projects. The purpose of this investigation is to gain an in-depth understanding of the development status and technical bottlenecks in my country's high-end bearing field and promote the independent control process of core components.

Zhou Yu, chairman of the China Bearing Industry Association, and other industry experts participated in the investigation. Qian Wei, director of the Equipment Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economic and Information Technology, Wang Huijie, deputy mayor of Shaoxing City, and Liang Xiaoping, relevant person in charge of Xinchang County, and other local leaders accompanied the inspection.

The research team went to the Maichuangmu workshop and bearing equipment production workshop of Rifa Precision Machinery, and inspected the operation of multiple intelligent production lines. A number of core technical equipment including high-precision thread grinders, flexible processing systems and automated assembly lines attracted the attention of the researchers. The company's technical personnel introduced the key parameters, process flow and innovations of the equipment on site, and the research team gave a positive evaluation of the company's achievements in intelligent manufacturing and lean management.

At the subsequent symposium, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on the direction of the current wheel hub bearing project. The meeting focused on how to improve the overall technical level of my country's bearing industry, and fully discussed product development strategies, key technology research paths, performance optimization solutions, market expansion ideas, and industrial chain coordination mechanisms.

All parties agreed that we should accelerate the construction of a technology innovation system with enterprises as the main body, market-oriented, and deep integration of production, education, research and application. By integrating industry resources and forming joint research teams, we will concentrate our efforts to break through a number of "neck-stuck" problems that restrict the development of the industry. At the same time, we must strengthen process verification and testing capabilities, consolidate the foundation for industrial development, and provide support for the long-term and stable development of the industry.

Wang Hong pointed out that equipment manufacturing companies should attach great importance to the accumulation and application of process technology and regard it as an important means to promote industrial upgrading. Only by continuously strengthening technical precipitation and engineering practice can we achieve the transformation from "following" to "running side by side" and then to "leading".
