Recently, 202 export-grade high-temperature large-diameter pneumatic ball valves developed by Douson Valves for key petrochemical projects under the "Belt and Road" initiative have rolled off the production line and are about to be delivered.
As a key supporting project in the petrochemical sector under the Belt and Road Initiative, the development of Douson Valves' NPS24-CLASS900 high-temperature, large-diameter pneumatic orbital ball valve has attracted significant attention since its inception. From the moment the overseas contract was successfully signed, Douson Valves quickly entered a state of full-scale preparation, assembling a dedicated R&D team to tackle core technologies, coordinating with the supply chain system for efficient collaboration, operating production lines at full capacity to meet production targets, and having a logistics and safety support team provide comprehensive support throughout the process. All aspects worked closely together, accelerating the project's progress.
Faced with multiple technical challenges, including high temperature, high pressure, and large diameter, the Douson R&D team rose to the challenge and ultimately finalized the core development solution—relying on the orbital ball valve's unique "disengagement before rotation" opening and closing structure to fundamentally solve the friction between the valve seat and the ball. This successfully achieved the goal of "zero leakage" under high-pressure, large-diameter conditions, while significantly extending the valve's service life and precisely matching the stringent operational requirements of overseas petrochemical projects.
The pneumatic ball valves developed this time cover a diameter range from DN50 to DN600, employing a linear pneumatic actuator with a gas-liquid buffer tank and an integrated valve stem structure. The largest diameter product exceeds 5 meters in height and weighs 16 tons. From the processing of core components and overall assembly precision to finished product testing, extremely high demands were placed on manufacturing capabilities. Douson Valves, with its sophisticated manufacturing technology and comprehensive quality control system, successfully overcame various production challenges, ensuring that every valve met the requirements.
