It is reported that while consolidating its traditional auto parts business, Wanxiang Qianchao is actively expanding into the field of core robot components. The company recently revealed during an institutional survey that it has listed robotics as its third major strategic sector after bearings and automotive chassis systems, and plans to build a production capacity of 1.2 million sets of robot-specific bearings by 2026.

Research indicates that Wanxiang Qianchao has established a relatively complete product system in the field of robot joint components, covering a full range of universal joints, precision shafts, ball screws, planetary ball screws, precision reducers, and related joint-specific bearings. Currently, the company has a production capacity of 100,000 sets of ball screws and 10 million sets of universal joints. Regarding international expansion, the company is accelerating the construction of its production base in Thailand to circumvent trade barriers, be closer to Southeast Asian robot assembly clusters, and improve the responsiveness of its global supply chain.

The company stated that most of its robot products are currently in the development and verification stage. It has already partnered with leading customers in the industry and achieved small-batch delivery of prototypes. To tackle key robot components, the company has established a dedicated team led by the general manager, focusing on breakthroughs in ball screws and specialized bearings. Currently, over 150 core and newly recruited technical personnel have been deployed, and resources will continue to be allocated to this area in the future.

Furthermore, Wanxiang Qianchao is proceeding with the acquisition of Wanxiang Automotive Components (WAC). In May 2024, the company disclosed a major asset restructuring plan, proposing to acquire 100% equity of WAC through share issuance and cash payment, and raise supporting funds. WAC has a wide global presence, with production and R&D bases covering key markets such as the United States, Mexico, Poland, and Turkey. Its customers include major OEMs such as Ford, BMW, and GM, as well as well-known Tier 1 suppliers. Upon completion of the acquisition, it will significantly enhance Wanxiang Qianchao's supply chain coverage and responsiveness across Europe, America, and Asia. Currently, the restructuring project is progressing smoothly, with due diligence, auditing, and valuation work proceeding steadily, and the transaction plan still under further negotiation.

Financially, the company's profitability has continued to strengthen in recent years. Net profit attributable to the parent company in 2023 and 2024 was RMB 822 million and RMB 951 million, respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 1.54% and 15.76%; the increase in net profit excluding non-recurring items was even more significant, reaching 23.67% and 21.26%, respectively. In the first three quarters of 2025, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB 10.406 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.88%; net profit attributable to the parent company was RMB 773 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.92%, maintaining a steady and positive operating fundamental.

Looking ahead to 2026, Wanxiang Qianchao stated that it will continue to focus on its core strategy of "Dynamic Intelligent Control," building a global development framework of "dual core of chassis and bearings" and "new curve of humanoid robots." The company will further increase its capacity investment in bearing-related products such as constant velocity drive shafts and wheel hub units, focusing on the research and development of chassis intelligent control technology and key robot components, and promoting the construction of a new digital intelligent industrial base for automotive parts.
