LYC Bearing Earns Top National Recognition for Its Wind Turbine Spindle Bearings

On the 30th, it was learned from the Luoyang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the ninth batch of national-level manufacturing single-item champion enterprises, with four companies from Luoyang making the list, ranking first in the province. Among them, Luoyang Bearing Group Co., Ltd., located in Luolong District, was included.

Manufacturing single-item champion enterprises refer to companies that have long focused on certain niche product markets in the manufacturing industry, possess internationally leading production technologies or processes, and whose market share for a single product ranks among the top globally or domestically. They represent the highest development level and strongest market strength in their respective niche fields and are the highest honor in my country's manufacturing industry. A total of nine companies from the province were selected this time.

Luoyang Bearing Group Co., Ltd., selected for its wind turbine main shaft bearings, is one of the largest comprehensive bearing manufacturers in China's bearing industry. It possesses the only national key laboratory in the bearing industry and holds a leading position in the research and development and layout of high-end bearings in China. As a major bearing supplier for downstream fields such as wind power generation, rail transit, aerospace, and new energy vehicles, the company ranks among the top three in market share for many of its products, with its wind turbine main shaft bearings holding over 40% of the domestic market share.

Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd., selected for its aerospace precision bearings and components, has been developing and producing aerospace precision bearings and components since 1958. Its product technology is at a leading level domestically and advanced internationally, with a domestic market share exceeding 90%. The company's main products include cryogenic high-speed bearings for rocket engines, self-lubricating bearings for spacecraft, and momentum wheel bearing assemblies, widely used in high-end equipment fields such as manned lunar landings, spacecraft, and space stations, serving as key core components for major aerospace engineering equipment.

Maxex Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., selected for its 5-inch silicon polished wafers, is a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, and sales of Czochralski single-crystal silicon, silicon wafer cutting and grinding, and silicon polished wafers. In 2018, it was recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a "Pilot Demonstration Enterprise for Intelligent Manufacturing of Silicon Substrates for Large-Scale Integrated Circuits." To date, the company has developed hundreds of new products and led or participated in drafting 11 national industry standards. Its silicon polished wafer processing technology for 8-inch and smaller sizes has reached a leading level domestically.

This selection of CITIC Heavy Industries Machinery Co., Ltd.'s metallurgical rotary kiln products marks another achievement in this honor, following its mineral mills and mine hoists. CITIC Heavy Industries currently possesses national-level enterprise technology centers and other innovation platforms recognized by the state, forming a leading domestic and globally scarce high-end heavy machinery processing and manufacturing capability. It is a world leader in large castings and forgings, large gears, large riveted and welded parts, comprehensive processing and manufacturing, and the processing of complex precision parts.
